The clinic for the care of orthodontic and adult patients’ care has a common waiting room, two independent clinic areas and a consultation room where patients can privately discuss their treatment options with the dentist.
An independent pediatric clinic has been created for the dental are of children. The playground in the waiting area helps children relax while they wait for their appointment and the two clinical rooms are colorful and make the dental office a place kids want to visit again!

The specialized staff of our practice
Michael Maroulakos
Dr Michael Maroulakos is trained in the Specialty of Orthodontics. He received his dental degree from the University of Athens in 2005 and he completed a residency and a Masters in Orthodontics at the same University in 2012. He achieved board certification from the Ministry of Health in 2013. In 2015, he completed a Craniofacial, Surgical, and Special Care Orthodontics Fellowship at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, where he received scholarship from the American Dental Society of Europe.
He maintains a busy orthodontic private practice for kids, adolescents, and adults at Natural Smiles Specialized Dentistry in Alimos, Athens. He frequently receives dental continuing education in his field in Greece and abroad and has been an active member of several Greek, American, and international Orthodontic associations. Furthermore, his shares his expertise at the University of Athens where he serves as a part-time clinical instructor and has been a member of the Greek Craniofacial Center, that specializes in the rehabilitation of complex craniofacial problems.
George Maroulakos
Dr. George Maroulakos earned his DDS from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, School of Dentistry in 2008. In 2011, he completed his specialization training in Prosthodontics and a Master of Science degree in Oral Biology at Texas A&M Health Science Center, Baylor College of Dentistry, in Dallas, Texas, where he received the Robert S. Staffanou Memorial Graduate Prosthodontic Award.
From 2011 until 2019 he served as an Assistant Professor at Baylor College of Dentistry (Dallas, Texas) and Marquette University School of Dentistry (Milwaukee, Wisconisn), where he directed the Implant Dentistry and Fixed Prosthodontics courses. In 2014 he achieved Diplomate status with the American Board of Prosthodontics and is the only Prosthodontist in Athens with this qualification. In 2016, he was the recipient of the American Dental Education Association Junior Faculty Award. He is a Fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists and a member of the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics and the International Team for Implantology. Since 2011, he practices implant, esthetic, and reconstructive dentistry and his research has been published in the most prestigious Journals in his field.
Matina Angelopoulou
Dr. Matina Angelopoulou received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Dental School of the University of Athens, Greece in 2007. She completed the graduate program in Pediatric Dentistry with a M.S. degree at the same University in 2012. She continued her studies at A.T. Still University College of Graduate Health Studies and in 2017 she received a Master in Public Health and a Certificate in Dental Public Health.
She has been exclusively practicing the Specialty of Pediatric Dentistry since 2011 in private clinics in Greece and USA and served as an Assistant Professor at Marquette University and Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin in USA.
Her research interests include epidemiology of oral diseases, oral health education and dietary assessment and advice in the dental setting. Dr. Angelopoulou has published papers on these topics and has presented findings of her research nationally and internationally. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the European Academy of Pediatric Dentisry and the Hellenic Society of Pediatric Dentistry.
